A real leather heel in a worn black finish, with three straps buckling around the ankle. The upper has a hand-rubbed look, so it comes out of the already broken in rather than shiny and stiff. Closed round toe, open at the sides of the foot, and a wide stacked heel that sits under your heel instead of behind it. The straps adjust on separate buckles, which is what keeps them on your foot without pinching.
Real leather, not a coating that peels – The upper is cow leather, 1,2mm thick. The rubbed finish means new scuffs blend in instead of showing as bright marks. It creases instead of cracking.
A heel you can stay standing in – The heel is 2 inches on a wide stacked base, set directly under your heel. Your weight lands over the middle of the sole, so a dinner out does not turn into finding somewhere to sit.
Three straps, three buckles – Each strap adjusts on its own buckle, so you can leave the top one loose and pull the bottom two snug. Your heel does not lift out when you walk.
